If you're wishing to reclassify your residency status, you need to appeal by submitting a petition for change of resident status (PDF) and documenting that you've fulfilled the residency requirements as outlined in the Board of Trustees residency regulations.

Students who have been asked to complete the Affidavit of Intent to Apply for Residence (PDF) should submit the completed and notarized form to the Office of Registration and Records.

Determination of Residency

Per Board of Trustees residency regulations, the university shall determine the residency status of each student for the purpose of establishing whether the student should be assessed domestic (in-state and out-of-state) or international tuition. The decision for each student is based on the information submitted to the university at the time of application for admission.
